Each week, for the past 2 months RMS colleagues have ‘donned their aprons’ and got baking for personal pride, calorific indulgence, honour, and charity!

Members of the RMS team presented a range of fantastic creations to the CMGBBO judging panel  where, after sampling, the bakers were each awarded points – those bakes that were deemed edible(!) were then made available for consumption by colleagues and other residents within Castle Malwood in return for a small donation.

After 8 weeks, a total of £210 was raised with cheques being presented by CMGBBO organiser Sarah Benwell to The Margaret Green Resue Foundation in Church Knowle and The Alzheimer’s Society.

The winner by a short head was Ian Gallimore for his amazing (and mostly alcoholic) bakes, however, the judges were keen to point out it was a difficult job choosing an overall winner as there were some truly delicious (and interesting looking) bakes to choose from each week – here are just a couple of those that made the cut!
